Originally from Africa, Okra also referred to as “Lady’s Finger” or “Bhindi” is widely used in Caribbean, Cajun, Indian and Creole cuisines to add a sweet flavour into the mix.

Depending on how it’s cooked, Okra can have a texture that is crisp and juicy or dense and creamy. This makes them optimal for assorted stews and dips!

Okra contains potassium, vitamin B, vitamin C, folic acid, and calcium. It’s low in calories and has a high fiber content.
