Scotch Bonnet

Red hot and scarlet red, these scotch bonnet peppers can have an almost sweet, vaguely fruity taste underlying the spice. Meaning if you can get past the heat – these make a delicious and fiery addition to a dish!

These are used to make the famous Caribbean or West Indian pepper sauces. Often peppers that are of this heat level are rubbed over food or added whole to add their flavour into the dish without all of the heat.

Scotch bonnets are a good source of vitamins such as vitamin A, C and B. Also containing minerals such as iron and magnesium. Peppers are also rich in antioxidants, making them a super healthy ingredient to add an intense bite into your cooking!
