Garlic Butter Tenderstem Broccoli

Delicious tenderstem broccoli with a rich garlic butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of tenderstem broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the tenderstem broccoli and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked tenderstem broccoli to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is heated through and coated with the garlic butter.
  7. Serve the garlic butter tenderstem broccoli hot, with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over if desired.

Tenderstem Broccoli and Feta Frittata

Duration: 30 minutes

Full of flavour and delicious goodies, an incredible weeknight meal.

Utensils

  • Ovenproof skillet

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of tenderstem broccoli
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as parsley or dill) for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  3. Add the tenderstem broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Heat olive oil in an ovenproof skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked tenderstem broccoli to the skillet and spread it out evenly.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the broccoli in the skillet. Sprinkle crumbled feta cheese on top.
  7. Cook on the stovetop for 3-4 minutes until the edges are set.
  8. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the frittata is set and golden brown on top.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  10. Slice and serve the tenderstem broccoli and feta frittata warm or at room temperature.

Sesame Ginger Glazed Tenderstem Broccoli

Duration: 15 minutes

A deeply-flavoured sesame ginger glaze coating delicious tenderstem broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of tenderstem broccoli
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Red pepper flakes for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the tenderstem broccoli and cook for 2-3 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, maple syrup (or agave nectar), sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the cooked tenderstem broccoli to the skillet.
  5. Pour the sesame ginger glaze over the broccoli in the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the broccoli is heated through and glazed.
  7. Transfer the glazed tenderstem broccoli to a serving dish. Sprinkle sesame seeds and red pepper flakes on top for garnish if desired.
  8. Serve the sesame ginger glazed tenderstem broccoli hot.
